Introductory Post

Hello, my name is Lance Elliott.  I'm planning to major in CMIS, or Computer Management Information Systems for those who don't know.  I choose this degree because it works a metaphorical double edged sword, allowing me to choose both business careers or computer related only jobs.  It was also the closest thing to what I was originally looking for available at the campus(I was looking for Computer Networking).  I love computers, but I'm not a huge fan of hard math - that's why I choose this instead of Computer Science or Engineering(the two other degrees with Computer in their title).  My goal for this class would be to work out the skills in writing I'm not great at yet.  I love to write amateur short stories and things of that nature, but I usually have a hard time with punctuation and keeping my tenses in check.
